Brevo
Email, SMS and WhatsApp marketing platform with automation and a built-in CRM, priced by sending volume.
Overview
Brevo, known as Sendinblue until 2023, is a French marketing platform that combines email campaigns, SMS and WhatsApp messaging, marketing automation, transactional email and a lightweight sales CRM in one account. It is popular with small and mid-sized businesses in Europe, partly because of its GDPR posture and partly because pricing is based on email volume rather than contact count, which keeps costs predictable for large lists that are mailed infrequently.
The Free plan allows 300 emails per day and includes the drag-and-drop editor, templates and basic CRM. Starter begins at $9 per month for 5,000 emails with no daily cap, though removing Brevo branding is a paid add-on. Standard begins at $18 per month for the same volume and unlocks marketing automation, A/B testing, send-time optimization, landing pages and multi-user access. Higher volumes step up in tiers, and Enterprise is custom.
The automation builder is capable for the price, and official apps exist for Shopify, WooCommerce and WordPress. Trade-offs include a CRM that is useful but shallow next to dedicated tools, a smaller template library than Mailchimp's, and several conveniences, including branding removal and dedicated IPs, being sold separately.
