Kit
Email marketing platform for creators with tags, visual automations, landing pages and digital product sales.
Overview
Kit, renamed from ConvertKit in 2024, is an email marketing platform built for creators: writers, podcasters, course sellers and YouTubers who sell to an audience rather than run a store. The editor favors clean, mostly text-based emails over heavily designed templates, and the core model is tags and segments on one subscriber list with a visual automation builder for sequences and rules. Landing pages, signup forms and a commerce feature for selling digital products and paid subscriptions through Stripe are included.
The free Newsletter plan is unusually generous, covering up to 10,000 subscribers with unlimited broadcasts, landing pages and forms, but it allows only one automation and one email sequence, shows Kit branding and supports a single user. Creator starts at $33 per month for 1,000 subscribers ($390 billed yearly) and adds unlimited visual automations, unlimited sequences, A/B testing and the removal of Kit branding; Pro starts at $66 per month ($790 yearly) with Subscriber Signals, engagement analytics and unlimited users. A 14-day trial covers both paid tiers.
The Creator Network, which lets newsletters recommend each other, is a notable growth feature. Kit is a weaker fit for ecommerce brands that need product feeds and revenue attribution, and design flexibility is deliberately modest.
