What we collect

Site searches

When you use the search box, we store the search text and the number of results it returned, with no cookie or identifier attached. We do not record page views or outbound clicks, we do not store IP addresses, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

Finder requests

The text you type into the Finder is stored with the recommendations it produced so we can improve matching. Please do not include personal information in your request.

Contact email

If you email us, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request.

Cookies and local storage

See the cookie policy. In short: no cookies for visitors, one cookie for administrators who log in, and a browser preference for light or dark mode.

Legal basis and purpose

We process search text on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the service, and Finder requests to provide the recommendation feature you asked for.

Sharing

We do not sell data. Search and Finder data are processed by our service providers (Netlify (application hosting), Neon (database), Hostinger (domain registration and email)) under data-processing agreements. When you click an outbound link, you leave VERILO and the vendor’s own privacy policy applies; affiliate networks may set their own cookies on the vendor’s site.

Retention

Searches and Finder requests are kept for 12 months and then deleted or aggregated.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to processing of your data. Because what we store isanonymous we usually cannot link records to you; contact info@getverilo.com and we will help where we can.
