Overview

Salesforce Sales Cloud is the CRM most large sales organizations standardize on. It provides accounts, contacts, leads, opportunities, forecasting and activity tracking on top of a platform that can be customized almost without limit: custom objects, flows, validation rules, permission sets and a marketplace of thousands of AppExchange apps. Einstein and Agentforce add AI scoring, summaries and agents on higher tiers.

That depth comes with cost and complexity. There is no free plan; the Starter Suite is priced per user per month and bundles basic sales, service and marketing, while Professional, Enterprise and Unlimited tiers rise steeply. Most companies beyond a handful of users need an administrator or a partner to configure and maintain it, and reporting, automation and integrations reward that investment. The interface is functional rather than fast, and mobile apps cover the essentials.

Sales Cloud suits mid-sized and large companies with defined sales processes, compliance requirements and the budget for administration. Small teams usually find lighter CRMs faster to adopt and much cheaper.
