Plausible Analytics
Lightweight, cookieless, open-source web analytics that reports site traffic on a single page.
Overview
Plausible Analytics is a lightweight, privacy-focused web analytics service from a small company based in the EU. Its script is under 1 KB, it uses no cookies and collects no personal data, so it can typically be used without a cookie consent banner under GDPR, and everything is shown on one page: visitors, sources, pages, locations, devices and goals. The code is open source (AGPL) and a Community Edition can be self-hosted.
It is popular with independent developers, bloggers, agencies and privacy-conscious companies that want an alternative to Google Analytics without the setup effort. Goals and custom events, UTM tracking, a Google Analytics importer, an official WordPress plugin, a stats API and scheduled email reports are included; funnels, ecommerce revenue tracking and custom properties are reserved for the Business tier.
Pricing is by monthly pageviews. Starter begins at approximately $9 per month for up to 10,000 pageviews, Growth at approximately $19 and Business at approximately $39, with two months free on annual billing. Every plan has a 30-day free trial and there is no permanently free cloud plan. There is no session replay, heatmaps or user-level analysis, which is by design; teams that need behavioral depth will want a product analytics tool alongside it.
