Canva alternatives

Almost nobody leaves Canva because it is bad at what it does. They leave because the work changed: it became product design, or precise illustration, or something that has to be edited outside Canva afterwards.

For product and interface design, Figma is the professional tool and the comparison to make — it is a different category of product, with developer handoff and design systems Canva does not attempt. For marketing graphics with a stronger creative-suite lineage, Adobe Express is the closest like-for-like.

If the pull is website design rather than graphics, Framer publishes real sites from a designer's canvas. And if the objection is that designs are locked into a proprietary format, Penpot is the open-source option worth a look.
